Cookies, cookies everywhere… colourful icing, cool shapes, dusted in sugar.
It’s no wonder they can feel irresistible this time of the year.
Recently inside Thrive Academy for Physicians, we coached around how to feel in control around all the cookies this holiday season which is such a helpful skill that I decided to record a podcast episode for you.
Because you don’t have to fear the cookies.
You can choose to really enjoy some of your favourites without it creating a month long slide.
When you learn different skills, you can relax and trust yourself around holiday cookies, even when they pop up in the staff room at the end of a busy day.
The biggest take home point here is that we have to start talking differently to ourselves about food like holiday cookies.
Saying things like “I can’t control myself around those cookies” or “Once I have one cookie, I can’t stop eating them” to yourself perpetuates the cycle.
(Even if it feels like you are speaking the truth from years of experience)
So what do you do instead?
…. You empower yourself to take back the control
…. You intentionally shift from feeling restricted about the cookies in your life to feeling abundant
…. And you support yourself by stocking some satisfying alternatives.
I go into detail on each of these tips inside the podcast episode.
