Welcome to the fourth instalment of the Weight Loss Kickstart series on the podcast! In this episode I’m talking about what to eat to lose weight.
Imagine for a moment…what would your life be like if you were able to design a customized approach that addresses the areas you struggle with, and create compassionate solutions that work for you? Stop beating yourself up for not fitting into someone else’s ideal.
You’ve probably been taught a whole lot of stuff about how you need to eat in order to lose weight. You’ve maybe even been taught that there is someone out there who knows what you need to eat to lose weight, and that one day you will magically stumble across this person or this diet and it will fix your weight issue.
This isn’t true.
The diet is just a small piece of the puzzle. For lasting weight loss, you need to look at all of the stuff around the food.
I approach eating in an intentional way, and it might feel a little bit different or difficult, especially if you’re used to following a strict diet. I choose the path of not actually telling you what to eat, because I don’t think that works. It is hard to maintain a way of eating when it comes from an external rule. As humans, we don’t really like other people making rules about our lives.
Instead, you get to create a customized way of eating that feels good for you and your weight loss journey.
