I wanted to share something with you that came up the other day in a coaching call.

This is such an important foundational shift in how you think about your weight and eating that I recorded you a whole podcast episode about it.

We’ve been taught to look for the “one right way” to lose weight. Each diet promises us that they are the “right way”. Just follow their rules and everything will be fine.

Except it’s not fine, is it?

And here’s the biggest issue with believing that a “right way” exists. If their diet rules don’t work… If you can’t sustain it… if you aren’t perfect with it…

You assume the problem is with you and that you have failed.

If we believe a ‘right way” exists, by default we make ourselves the problem when it doesn’t work.

So you get stuck in a cycle of trying and feeling like you are always failing. And that just plain sucks 👎

Stop looking for the “right way”.

Start looking for the right way for you.

Think about how this changes the game.

If something doesn’t work, it’s just because it wasn’t the right way for you.

If something feels bad or requires acrobatic contortions in your schedule to fit it in → probably just isn’t the right way for you.

There are an infinite number of ways you can approach any challenge. You get to choose the ones that work the best for you.
