Do you ever crawl into bed feeling like your to-do list won the day? Or maybe you’re beating yourself up because you think you’re not doing enough for your kids’ school events?

Well, I’ve got something special for you. This week’s podcast episode is a must-listen!

We live these hectic lives of being doctors, moms, partners – and somewhere along the line, we internalized that we need to be perfect at all of it.

Perfect doctor.

Perfect mom.

Perfect partner.

PLUS our eating and fitness routines should be spot on and our body should conform to ideal standards (like the BMI chart)

And if we perceive that we aren’t measuring up in any of those areas, we go all tough love on ourselves with a berating and mean voice.

It’s fuc*king exhausting to just write that. How do you feel reading it?

These hidden standards have a huge impact on how you feel in your days and also on your eating.

(I mean, why wouldn’t you reach for extra snacks in the evening if you just spent your day telling yourself that you suck in multiple areas of your life??)

But here’s the truth – you’re already doing amazing things every single day. Saving lives, raising kids, supporting your patients and loved ones and SO much more. Which is why beating yourself up about not doing “enough” is completely unfair.

These hidden standards come up often inside Thrive Academy for Physicians. It’s one of my favourite areas to coach around because a little change will help you feel so much better.

That’s why this week on the Thriving As A Physician podcast, I’m tackling this head-on. I’m sharing how letting go of these impossible standards can actually make your days better and eating healthy feel simpler.

You are more than enough, just as you are.

You are inspiring.

You are amazing (even if your to-do list isn’t completed 😀)

Take care and be kind to yourself. Listen to the full episode below.
