Say it with me: “I refuse to eat crappy food I hate just to lose weight”
Say it again.
Say it louder.
Sing it at the top of your lungs.
If you need to, tattoo it on your arm so you can’t forget it.
We have been told for SO many years that we should be satisfied with boring, bland food that leaves us hungry and wishing we could just eat like a “normal person”… just because our bodies hold more weight.
Not fair and not ok.
Don’t worry if you keep slipping back to restriction like this. It makes sense. You’ve had a lot of years thinking it was the path to success.
Except it’s not, is it?
If shitty, dry diet food was the answer, none of us would have struggled with our weight. We’ve collectively eaten enough cardboard tasting snackwells to test this hypothesis thoroughly!
It’s time to reject it and move on.
Classic diet food may give you short term weight loss but it never lasts very long. Nobody wants to be deprived long term… and you don’t need to.
Eating food you love to manage your weight isn’t just some luxurious dream, it’s a necessity if you want to lose weight and keep it off.
